The DAA Group is a Ministry of Health and independently designated certification and accreditation company that provides assessments in the health sector against a range of standards, including audits against the Health and Disability Services Standards for Ministry of Health certification, EQuIP Accreditation and ISO Quality Management.   We undertake audits across New Zealand.

We are periodically seeking to engage:

  1. Contract auditors to undertake the audits in a variety of health care sectors

  2. Staff positions in our Wellington and Christchurch offices

Contract Auditors

The contract auditor role provides an opportunity to work with the sector to maintain and assist in the development of practices to meet and exceed standards.  It is an opportunity to work across the sector and encourage safety and quality improvement.  Because it is a contract position, number of days of work will be flexible.  There will be travel involved.

Applicants are required to be experienced (more than two years’ experience at a senior level in the sector) and it is desirable to have achieved Unit Standard 8086 (Demonstrate Knowledge Required for Quality Auditing) qualification, knowledge of the auditing and accreditation sector in New Zealand (although training can be provided) and be goal focused.

    Technical Expert Assessors

    We want you!!

     

    To be a part of the new national screening audit programme

    DAA Group is seeking people who want the opportunity to be upskilled as Technical Expert Assessors.

    Do you have a current APC, at least two years relevant experience in a screening setting, and an interest in quality audit?

    We are seeking expressions of interest from every discipline in each programme:

    Are you an audiologist or work in new born hearing programme, a midwife, a surgeon, a radiologist, a MLS, a pathologist, a nurse, a MIT, or work in the bowel screening programme?

    You will need to commit to:

    • training prior to Christmas and ongoing training as required

    • be available for audits 1 -2 days at a time over the next 3 years

    National Screening Audit Programme Team at the DAA Group

    Auditor Client Manager - National Screening Unit Audit Programme - Wellington

    We are seeking to employ an Auditor Client Manager in our Wellington office for the National Screening Unit audit programme. This is a fulltime positon for a new audit programme. The role involves audit programme development, training auditors, auditing, and managing the audit processes for the National Screening Unit audits. An important part of the role is building relationships with the National screening Unit teams and liaising with the Ministry of Health. There is an administrative component to this role in developing audit plans and itineraries. Ideally the applicant could commence the role from 25 January 2021.

     

    This Auditor Client Manager role requires a person who has a sound understanding of, and commitment to standards, safety and quality in health care, and who has worked at a senior level in the health or disability sectors.

     

    The applicants should have a health related qualification or relevant quality and/or management experience, and ideally, have achieved Unit Standard 8086 qualification (Demonstrate Knowledge Required for Quality Auditing)  or equivalent. Knowledge of the auditing and accreditation sector in New Zealand is required. Training for Unit Standard 8086 can be provided to the successful applicant, if needed. Experience in any of the screening programmes would be an advantage.
